Job Summary:

We, DHZ Deli Limited, are looking to employ dedicated and reliable Chinese Cuisine Chef to join us in Auckland, New Zealand.

Job Details:

• Job location/region: Auckland, New Zealand

• Number of positions for this job: 1

• Employment type: Permanent

• Days required: 6 days per week

• Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximum of 40 hours per week

• Hourly rate: $30.00 - $32.00

Job description: 

• Prepare, cook authentic Chinese cuisine dishes as directed, ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained

• Follow recipes and presentation specifications

• Plan menus with Restaurant Manager, analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labour and overhead costs

• Order or requisition food and other supplies needed

• Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities

• Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations

• Manage the kitchen while the manager is away.

Job pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualification in Cookery level 4 OR 2 years work experience as Chef or relevant is required

• Making Chinese food preferred

• The ability to stand for extended periods.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• The ability to work in a team.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication skills

• Available to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
