Job Description
- Designing menus, estimating expenses for food and labor, and placing orders for ingredients
- Ensuring dish quality during all preparation and plating stages
- Collaborating with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen or waitstaff on food preparation matters
- Showing proper techniques and offering guidance on cooking methods
- Cooking and preparing meals
- Communicating and enforcing sanitation rules
- May be responsible for hiring and training employees
- May handle freezing and preserving food items
- Coordinates and oversees the cooking process in a restaurant or catering setting
- Carry out other reasonable tasks assigned by the employer

- Location: Auckland
- Job type: Full-time Permanent
- Pay rate: 26.85- 35.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
- Days required: 5–6 days per week (rotational roster arrangements apply)
- Hours per week: At least 35
Job Requirement
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a bachelor degree in any discipline is required.
