About Us

The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing and presenting a variety of traditional Chinese cold dishes, hot dishes, marinated foods and specialty ready-to-eat products. The role involves menu development, food quality control, inventory management, staff training and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • Planning and developing menus for traditional Chinese cold dishes, marinated foods and ready-to-eat specialty items. 

  • Estimating food and labor costs and managing ingredient purchasing requirements. 

  • Preparing, seasoning, marinating and presenting a wide range of Chinese cold dishes and cooked food products. 

  • Developing and standardizing recipes to ensure consistency in flavor, quality and presentation. 

  • Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation, storage and presentation. 

  • Supervising food preparation activities and coordinating kitchen workflow. 

  • Demonstrating specialized techniques in the preparation, marination and preservation of Chinese cold dishes and delicatessen-style products. 

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations. 

  • Managing stock rotation, storage and preservation of food products. 

  • Training and supervising kitchen staff in food preparation procedures and quality standards.

Job pre-requisites: 

  • At least 2 years of cooking experience 

  • Relevant cookery qualification or certificate is preferable but not a must
