About Us
The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing and presenting a variety of traditional Chinese cold dishes, hot dishes, marinated foods and specialty ready-to-eat products. The role involves menu development, food quality control, inventory management, staff training and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
The role will include, but not limited to:

Planning and developing menus for traditional Chinese cold dishes, marinated foods and ready-to-eat specialty items.

Estimating food and labor costs and managing ingredient purchasing requirements.

Preparing, seasoning, marinating and presenting a wide range of Chinese cold dishes and cooked food products.

Developing and standardizing recipes to ensure consistency in flavor, quality and presentation.

Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation, storage and presentation.

Supervising food preparation activities and coordinating kitchen workflow.

Demonstrating specialized techniques in the preparation, marination and preservation of Chinese cold dishes and delicatessen-style products.

Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations.

Managing stock rotation, storage and preservation of food products.

Training and supervising kitchen staff in food preparation procedures and quality standards.
Job pre-requisites:

At least 2 years of cooking experience

Relevant cookery qualification or certificate is preferable but not a must
