We're looking for a passionate, creative, and reliable Chef to join our busy café kitchen based in Tauranga.  This is a full time permanent position working a minimum of 30 hours per week. 

This is a hands-on role that suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing beautifully presented dishes, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

What we're looking for:

  • Confident and experienced chef with café experience.
  • Ability to work a rotating 7-day roster with 1 day off each week.
  • Applicants must be reliable, motivated, and able to work weekends and public holidays as part of the roster.
  • Creative flair with excellent food presentation and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for developing and contributing new menu ideas.
  • Experience with ordering and managing stock.
  • A team player who communicates well and supports others.
  • Strong organisational skills with a commitment to keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and running efficiently.
  • A high standard of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene at all times.
  • Have some baking skills as well.
  • A NZQA Level 4 qualification or at least 2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • You may be asked to provide a clear drug and alcohol report to comply with Health & Safety requirements.
