We are a well-established and busy restaurant, seeking passionate Chefs and motivated Restaurant Duty Manager to join our team full-time (minimum 30 hours per week). Chef's duties will include:

Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs.

Planning and organising food preparation and cooking

Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

Discussing food preparation issues with managers, dietitians, kitchen and waiting staff.

Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.

Preparing and cooking food.

Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.

Supervising and training cooks and kitchen staff.
Skills and Experience Required for Chef - Our ideal candidate would have:
- either a minimum of 2 year relevant work experience or a relevant qualification
- Flexibility to work over any day of the week and must be available to work evenings, split shifts and weekends
- Availability to work on public holidays as per the roster
Payrate for Chef will range within $25 to $30 depending on the experience.
Restaurant Duty Manager's duties will include:

Planning and organising daily shift operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Supervising and coordinating the activities of front-of-house staff during shifts and working closely with kitchen staff to maintain service flow.

Monitoring food and service quality during shifts, addressing customer feedback, and resolving complaints promptly.

Promoting and selling the restaurant’s goods and services to enhance customer experience.

Observing and enforcing liquor licensing, food safety, health, and other regulatory requirements.

Implementing and reviewing shift procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Overseeing stock usage during shifts, recording consumption, and reporting shortages to management.

Supporting the training and development of staff, ensuring service standards are maintained.

Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.

Assisting with reservations, greeting customers, and stepping in to support service delivery when required.

Reporting shift outcomes, issues, and incidents to the Restaurant Manager/Director.
Skills and Experience Required for Restaurant Manager
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Either a relevant qualification OR relevant work experience

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

While holding a Manager’s Certificate is an advantage, we are committed to supporting the right candidate to complete the Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) and gain their Manager’s Certificate.
Payrate for Duty Manager will range within $25 to $30 depending on the experience/qualification.
