Wage: $27.65-33.70  per hour

Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, Maximum 50 hours per week, shifted by

                           roster from Monday to Sunday

 

We are a popular all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant, proudly serving a wide range of freshly prepared dishes seven days a week for lunch and dinner. As we continue to grow, we are looking for three passionate and reliable Cooks to join our kitchen team and help deliver delicious meals to our customers every day.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in at level 4 or higher equivalent to a New Zealand qualification;

  • Or have at least 2 years relevant working experience at kitchen.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with both suppliers and team members;

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Physically well to work under pressure during peak meal time.

  • Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations

  • Mandarin speaking is preferable

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food on menu to satisfactory standards;

  • Monitor the quality of dishes, liaise with manager in regards to food preparation matters;

  • Food preparation including portioning, seasoning, adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.

  • Prepare food to meet guest special dietary requirements;

  • Ensure foodstuffs to the quality standards.

  • Stock control, manage the stock level to meet the kitchen requirements

  • Keep the working area clean and tidy, ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered

  • Assist with other duties as required by the business
