Location: Auckland

Job type: Full time / Permanent: 30 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster.

Pay Bracket: Minimum pay rate per hour will be $25 and the employer is willing to do up to $35.00 per hour based on experience.

About the role:

Trade Food Assistants responsibilities and duties:

 

  • checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
  • kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
  • preparing pastry fillings
  • monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
  • coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
  • glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
  • operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
  • emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

 

We are looking for candidates with the preferred attributes:

·        Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and public holidays.

·        Relevant qualification OR Relevant experience of 2 years OR A bachelor’s degree or Higher qualification in any field will be accepted for this role

·        Positive attitude, Building Rapport with Staff, and ability to thrive under pressure.

·        Communication skills, Decision making and Handling Issues professionally.

·        A passion for excellence and hardworking Nature

·        Great presentation and Personal Hygiene, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
