Reporting to the Directors who have overall oversight of all Motel Kitchen functions, the selected candidate requires strong culinary skills, excellent organisational ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to both motel guests and the general public.
- Oversee all daily activities related to food service for motel guests and the public.
- Prepare ingredients, cook meals according to recipes, and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Prepare and serve breakfast and dinner for motel guests and external customers.
Menu Planning — Assist in designing menus, including daily specials and seasonal dishes. - Kitchen Hygiene — Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas following food safety regulations.
- Stock Management — Monitor Kitchen inventory, rotate stock, and report shortages to management.
- Food Safety Compliance — Follow all food handling, storage, and temperature control
guidelines. - Team Collaboration — Work with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
- Quality Control — Ensure dishes meet quality standards for taste, portion size, and
presentation. - Equipment Operation — Safely operate kitchen appliances and report any faults.
- Waste Reduction — Minimise food waste through proper planning and storage.
- Experience with cooking burgers is considered an advantage.
- Ensure all room service orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly.
- Ensure motel rules, policies, and procedures are consistently followed
- Manage customer orders for both dine-in motel guests and takeaway customers.
